Update: Skins, Scoring and Rotation-Testing


This update took its time (working on three projects simultaneously doesn't really help), but it's finally here!
Since the major gameplay updates are done, it is now time for the extra- and practically- features: gaining money, buying skins, a smart level management and other extras. Here they are:

Shop and Skins:
The biggest feature this update is the new shop and skin system. Many of the playtesters wished for different skins they can play with. And now, here they are: additionally to the reworked 'Basic-Smokey' there are the 'Chimney-Sweeper-Smokey' and the 'Diver-Smokey'. You can gain the money to buy them by playing the regular levels and the endless mode.


Game UI:
Just like the main menu in the last update, all five levels received a complete UI-rework. New graphics for the ongoing gameplay, pause menu and the end screen. You see now the fitting score and your earned silver at the end of each level.

Scoring System:
The scoring system was updated to its final stage. The Tutorial and the three normal levels received their relative scoring system at the last update already. In comparison to that, the score of the endless mode is now the total number of checkpoints you have passed. Try to get over 100 Points!

Smarter Next-Level System:
After finishing a level you will be presented with three choices / buttons how to continue. That is not new, but the visualisation and the shown buttons are.
First, you have the option to replay the exact same level again. Since every level is randomly generated you would not have the possibility to get to know a level to beat it in a second go otherwise. The endless-mode is the only exception to that.
Your second option is the home-button.
And third you can play a new generated level. As a new feature, if you beat the current level this will take you to the next grade of difficulty. If not, you will continue on the current level.

Rotation Test Menu:
One of the biggest problems in the initial testing phase was that on some smartphones the controls just didn't work. Why? Because some devices didn't have gyroscope which is required to play this rotation-based game. Unfortunately for those of you who have this problem, I have to announce that I will probably not program a workaround for this problem.

Other small updates and fixes:
- Better use of Unity Sprite-Sheets
- Small code updates for collision, UI and localisation
