Leaderboard, Localization and Sounds
After a couple of weeks learning and developing I can present you the next update. Included are a bunch of different features: Leaderboard, Localization, Audio and more. Have fun playing 'Santa & Presents' with all these improvements:
Leaderboard
The most important upgrade first. After years of studying game programming I finally wanted to include an internet-feature into one of my games. For this game a leaderboard was basically a must-have. So I invested one week to learn 'JavaScript' and 'Google App Scripts'. Connecting a Google Sheets document with Unity a global leaderboard was created, that saves the ten best scores of all players. Don't forget to enter your player-name after your first run. Your record will be paired with that name.
Audio
Another new feature is the audio. There are two music soundtracks (~7 Minutes) and 7 sound effects. You can adjust the volume of both inside the options menu. Additionally, you can always mute them while playing.
Options Menu
The options menu was implemented when too many icons were piled up on the main screen. It contains the following windows:
- Volume Manager: Set the volume of the music and the sound effects.
- Language Selection: Select the game language: English or German.
- Credits List: See a list of all external assets and my own tasks.

UI Animations
The UI is now animated using LeanTween. I can only recommend it. It is a really easy and fast tool to scale or fade UI elements in and out. By the way: The present-closing-animation was also created using this tool.
